A Year Later

A year later the young student Delviniyan was meditating in the Temple when his eye glanced towards the inner temple and Murugan's enclosure. A bit of background... since Delviniyan was rescued by Guru KalShivayan from the riverbank, he was trained in the Tantric and Pure (Aatmaani) Aaiyyanist arts in the Temple school of KutiKampalaam. He was trained vigorously in the Yogic arts since he arrived at the Temple, and Delviniyan was now totally immersed in Dravidian Yogic practise, such that it was second nature by the time he reached the age of around 11-13 years old. Just as in today's modern Aaiyyanist parenting, the children in the ancient past were brought up in the way of Aaiyyan such that they were able to meditate, chant and inscribe Dravidian symbols as easily as eating, sleeping, reading and controlling their bodily functions. If you surround the young in Yogic practise, they absorb it and can perform it without thought. Thus, the young Delviniyan was meditating in the Innakkuyyan Dravidian stance when he caught sight of Murugan.

Inside the locked inner Temple, Murugan was engaged in a Yogic practise that Delviniyan had not seen before. He was inscribing novel symbols onto the floor of the cage with his fingers and gently chanting quietly. The young Delviniyan asked Murugan what he was doing.

Murugan replied. "With these inscriptions I have stopped time. I have brought the Ataantain Loka close to this plane of reality and within the cage/inner temple there is no time at all. I started inscribing this Lokas as soon as I entered the cage but you (the Instrument) are the only one here who had the discernment to see my work. You must, like me exist outside of time."

The young Delviniyan was perturbed by what he heard, but the charisma of Murugan took hold and Delviniyan's mind fell into his sway.

"So what must I do now?" the young child asked.

"You must free me and live with me in the mountains - for I will teach you the truth" - Murugan answered.

At that instantaneous moment (in the cage/inner temple where time stood still), Delviniyan immediately understood the nature of Brahman and the nuances of right action and non action. He knew exactly what to do... and headed to the main palace, walked up the magnificent staircase and then gently crept into the Queen's chamber where she was sleeping. Delviniyan paused for a moment and remembered the good bond he shared with the Queen, but the will of Murugan took hold and Delviniyan acted. He broke/cut the Thaali off her neck, thus breaking the binding spell on Murugan's inner temple. The young Delviniyan then ran outside to the temple courtyard where Murugan waited for him and they both travelled to the mountainous forests.
